nothing to be said so I will say it.

I have just found out, unbelievably late, that Kristian Kotarac, of Nextera passed away earlier this year.

apart from the shock of such a loss of such a good and wonderful man, I am saddened at his early exit.

Kristian was generous of word, deed, and soul. he helped me in numerous ways, in many capacities, and his entire being was suffused with care and attention to detail.

he was a friend. a rare combination of someone with a conscience and yet able to run a record label. he lives on as an example to aspire to, in all sorts of ways.

I will miss him, a great deal.

go towards the light, Kristian.

love

  1. I also only heard about this today so I will post fragmentary and short memories below:

Kristian was a wonderful being indeed. I did not know him personally, he have a meeting with someone from my family in Prague and deliver long-waited records to them to avoid postal delay. Therefore help greatly on my path of exploring 'experimental records' that I followed at that time and I still do.

While we only have chat on email and I have send him some Dreamachine he was very generous and kind and intelligent, and he have great sense of humor.

    I will miss him greatly.
